    Default Laser Show Venues?

I'm curious as to permanent or semi-permanent laser show locations that each of you are familiar with? Not the ones we're all doing out in the garage.

For Texas, I'm only aware of the ongoing show at the LBJ Library in Austin until Summer 2009, that Tim Walsh is doing.

    I know of:

    Laserium, Van Nuys
    Pacific Science Center, Seattle
    Space Transit Planetarium, Miami
    Hayden Planetarium, Boston

Where else in the US, worldwide? Anything you'd recommend?

    Cool

    Stone Mountain, in Northern Georgia.
    Disney's Epcot center.
    Miami Museum of Science Planetarium.
    Addler Planetarium in Chicago. (infrequent)

I'm sure there are lots more though...

Of those, the only one I can really recommend is Stone Mountain.

Orlando Science Center plays some Pink Floyd shows... I've seen 2... pretty darn good for the price!

Oh... damn... I just checked... guess it's done...

Default Killeen, TX and Lancaster, PA

I visited with Chuck Rau at the Mayborn Planetarium in Killeen, TX a couple of weeks ago - he's got an awesome solid state full dome projection system from AVI installed. I did not check the schedule but I am pretty sure they are doing shows every weekend.

Also remember LaserDome outside of Lancaster, Pennsylvania runs shows and parties constantly.

Wow, I didn't know they were still doing shows. I must re-visit them.

Anybody know anything about the shows at the Heritage Planetarium in Maryville, TN. ?

That's only about 30 minutes away from me - perhaps an opportunity for some laser volunteer work?!

Are you far from Killeen, TX? If not, they run laser shows in thier planetarium. Looks like they have an Omniscan system which is full dome scanning, 180 degrees by 360 degrees from 1 scan head!

It's about 175 miles each way to Killeen, best that I can tell. I've never been there before, but it sounds like a good excuse to check out an Omniscan system, as well as to get out of the house for a couple of days. Drive up on a Friday, spend most of a Saturday in the dome. Hmmm....
