    Lightbulb Flashlight on Steroids

    UltraFire TH-1300L 7*SSC U2 3-Mode 1300-Lumen LED Flashlight (3*18650)

This is one of those things where you don't really need it, but its cool factor is so high, and it just pegs the curiosity meter.
I hope to have it in the next few weeks where I'll do my best to review it.

Another thought I had was to replace the LED emmiters with 200mW BluRay Laser Diodes.
It would look like a light sabor!

Yeah, and all the potential permanent eye damage that goes with it.

    BAD idea....wrong forum...

Now, that many bluerays combined in a projector (with all the appropriate safety features) would be VERY cool!!

    Cool

Now that's a flashlight, better yet a motorcycle headlight.

I'd rather replace them with 445nm diodes...

Ditch those wimpy luxeons, and get a metal halide flashlight. They are down to about 200-250$ now.

The main subject is in the correct forum, I don't believe an afterthought qualifies reposting in the Laser thread.

It would definitely be something to see!
Combining all those beams in the above style form factor would be a challenge.
However, the main subject is the flashlight and its obscene design of combining 7 SSC P4s (U2 bin) emitters in a hand held flashlight.

Anybody here into High output Flashlights? Normally Lasers and flashlight interest go hand in hand.

LOL, I'll bet I could! with a magnifying glass. Although the runtime on high is less than 1 hour, so it may take a few sets of batteries to do it.

Hmm, I'll have to look into those once again
But At 1300 lumens of output its equal to a AELight 24W HID Metal Halide in output and its ALOT cheaper.

    Lightbulb

Not me man. I got a MagLite if I need to go out side in the dark. More for the "big metal rod" than actual illumination.

I know what your saying, I still have my 6 Dcell MagLite by the door.
I work nights and the vehicles I work on are all brown and seeing the little numbers on them is difficult for my aging eyes, so a small bright flashlight comes in handy.

I have a 6cell maglite i used for night fishing etc.
After 7 years of use.. the thing still works fine.

The local police officer wasn't to happy when he found the maglite under my passenger seat...
I moved it to the trunk.
