    Default Open Source Lasersoftware

    Hi Folks,

I just startet a new project called "Lascan".
Because I´m a laser hobbiest, I wanted to try to write my own software.
Why am I writing here? Because I´m searching for some programmers helping me getting this free software working.
It is written in VB.NET 2008

    What is ready today:
    ************************
    Read/Write own format
    Read ILDA

    Editor is working (with bugs)
    Wavegenerator is working 80%

    English/German

    Nice Gui
    ************************

You can download the soft here: http://www.loerner.net
You can download the source here: http://lascan.sf.net . Screenshots are also available.

So if you want to participate, please write an Email or a PM.

    Regards
    MaxxTc

Well gary (the creator of spaghetti) and James (the creator of laserboy) are both adept at reading the ilda file format and both active developers.

Unfortunately (depending on your perspective i suppose) they no longer post here but i can get you in touch with them if you would like.. Just PM me.

    Default LFI Player

I have been using LFI player: http://sourceforge.net/projects/lfiplayer3d
I have had a lot of fun playing with abstracts!

Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.

Lascan migrated from VB6 to VBNET IDE?
It is very interesting for me to see evolution of this project.

    Hi.

No. Lascan was not migrated. It was completely new written.
I tried to convert it, but I had so much problems that I decided to start over.

    Just give it a try.

Do you have the same features in your editor as compared to vb6 version?
I'm not familiar to framework technology and cant try it on my PC

    Yes. the same features.
Editing is not implemented properly yet. But still in work.

If you want to try the Soft, you have to install DOTNET Framework 3.5.

    Thats all.
I think the Installer should install on intsallationprocess.
