You're going to want to turn on live preview and preview processing to see the path reduction. What you see now in the preview window is *before* this. Also you're going to want to update to ILD SOS 1.2.53. Will send an email.

Wait a sec. We've never tested Illustrate 5.5. It maybe saving files as CAD r12 or r2008 or so on. SOS was originally design for r10 import. I would recomend to send a dxf file to drlava.

Tested Illustrate! 5.6 30 day Trial on 3ds Max 2010 30 day trial. Illustrate is still saves dxf as r10. And I had no problem importing it into SOS.

I would appreciate a tutorial that could be linked to. There are several things that can be covered in a tutorial that would be helpful:

    -Setting the framerate in max
-Different styles of illustrate! object mapping
    -colorization
-scene complexity and how to limit it
    -splines
    -tuning the result in SOS

    Well, I don't really need a tutorial.
But following your tutorials is always a good source of hints, tips and tricks.
You make making a tutorial look so easy, as I know it is not. So keep up the good work.
