Im able through a second-chance auction on ebay to get a hold of a LaserWorld revolution series 500mw RGB. All for only $1050. I was super excited at first, but after reading some of the reviews on this forum im not so sure. Advice anyone?

That's a rough one. I personally might do it just for the case and then sell the scanners and lasers. From what I have seen the case is worth a few hundered dollars, but I am not sure how much the lasers them selves are worth. The scanners are worth a few hundered also. Is this from LaserWorld them selves or some other seller?

Its from another seller, which makes it posibly even more sketchy. Its a seller in Turkey who put up auctions for three of these. He includes free shipping as well. Is it worth buying just for the projector and then adding my own lasers later? Im new at this and really appreciate the help.
Heres a link to one of his auctions:

Ten foot pole! I suspect this guy's account is hacked or was set up as BS to begin with. Look at his feed back for what he has sold. Now he has dozens of high dollar items up for sale. I'd let someone get a third chance and pass on that thing.
ya... I guess I'll leave it alone. Its dissapointing but from reading what you guys have said its clearly the wiser choice. What would you guys recomend instead? I would like to get a full color laser, or even a powerful rgy, but I thought that laserworld was the best option. Guess not. . .
what is your budget? why not build your own? you'd be surprised what you can do on your own and without buying these pre-fab units!!
and at this point i think LASERWORLD LASERS has ruined what little reputation they DID have. WAAY too many negative accounts of them lately.![]()
i wouldnt take one for free.
well, yeah i would.i would make them pay for shipping though!

I was willing to spend roughly $1000 now becuase I thought I was getting a good deal. However I'm willing to throw in $1500 maybe $2000 if what I get is worth it. I'm willing to wait and build it piece by piece but I wouldn't really know where to start becuase I have very little experience in this field. This would be my first laser projector and so while I'm looking for something in the RGB category I'm still wary of getting in over my head. I'm looking for something as personal use in my home, I'm not intending to use in comercial venues which is why I'm happy with the lower power ranges. The addition of the blue laser to make the whites is something I've already fallen in love with however, and so I guess that is the priority right now for what I'm looking for.
I'm really also tempted to get it for the same reasons mentioned before, the fact that it has decent scanners (from what I can see, but once again remember that I'm also new at this), and that the projector itself without the lasers seems to be solid.
Dude, my problem with this auction is I believe this seller's account has been hacked. I do not believe this seller is selling these items. I have seen it before. A seller's account is hacked and someone else puts a bunch of stuff up for sale using that account. People buy items from the hacked account, pay for it, and never get the items. The bogus seller takes the money and runs while the real seller has no idea and ends up with a bunch of negative feedback for the items he never intended to try and sell. This is speculation on my part, but his feedback and items for sale do not match well and something seems wrong about his auctions.
