    In deal list for october they got a 3.5W RGB (which should be a bit brighter than 1W or 1.2W mentioned above) for 5.9K€, of course this is export price and no1 knows what exactly it means.

    In conclusion, you might get a good deal only if you live close enough to Switzerland and figure out what they meant with export price .
    Or not... I live in Switzerland and for nothing in the world I will buy a "3.5W RGB" for that amount of money. This 3.5W will not be brighter at all than a 1W Kvant for example, as for example it has only a stated 350mW of blue, and a supposedly crapload of red... Not saying about the real power it should reach, which would be way below the advertised power (in fact, they say : garanted power 2.8W but they sell it as a 3.5W).

    Well, this company just use the Swiss label to try to sell their poor quality hardware (since they are in fact a german manufacturer but has its headquarters in Switzerland), and that's not fair.
    Their projectors are just good for some sort of mobile dj of so who don't have much money to spend but still want a laser because they are cool, and do lasershows without knowing anything about lasers, and such guys doesn't comes on a laser related forum like this one, so they will never realize that there is a problem with their projector, until they die completely.
    That's certainly why Laseworld can still sell a lot of projectors despite all these problems, as just a few aware people buy Laserworld products "by mistake" or just to try, and then just realize that they are BS when measuring their real power or notice a failure...

    Thumbs down today's measurements

    Hello, as i've been to Kvant today to measure the lasers, i can share my experience.

    Here the specifications:
    LASER WORLD - PRO 400RGY

    Technical specifications:

    * Output power: guaranteed: 350mW; typical: 400mW RGY (yellow), TTL
    * Lasers: 100mW / 532nm (green); 250mW / 650nm (red)
    * Laser class: 3b
    * Beam properties : 3mm/1mrad

    * Scanner system : very fast galvo system with excellent projection quality
    * Deflection angle : max. 60° optical
    * Scanspeed : max. 50.000pps

    Actual measuring results:

    power - guaranteed 350mW, typical 400mW ... measured real 290mW (ok, this is not so bad as it was measured after all the optics etc. but anyway it's nowhere near the specification...)
    scanners - 50k my ass, the guys tried the test pattern and it was capable to draw normally up to 27k, in comparison with scanners in Kvant's Spectrum that are capable up to 40k this is more of a shock for me =)

    Second one
    LASER WORLD - EL 100G DMX

    Technical specifications:

    * diodes: aircooled DPSS diode with circa 100mW green (532nm)
    * laser protection class: 3b
    * control modes: DMX 512, automatic- and sound control
    * deflection system: 2-5k scanspeed

    Measured:

    - power - 60mW (i didn't know i'm buying EL-60G instead of EL-100G =)
    - scanners - didn't measure this as these are not for graphic shows

    So result is: LW products are good as a toy if you buy it from ebay in some discount as i did but for professional show find elsewhere. I had the opportunity to see 500mW rgb spectrum with ultraviolet diode (some cheaper model) and 1600mW rgb spectrum with regular blue diode, now that was something completely different. Wonderful colors and you could see the beam in well lit office with white neon lights. But that's a bit out of my league so i'll be more than happy if i manage to get the 1W or even 500mW model..

    I got a Laserworld defective projector a friend brought to me to repair it...

    A Laserworld RGY laser (Revolution series), 400mW I think (so 300mW "garanted"). Not sure though, and don't know the running hours. But the green is now defective.

    This is the first time I have one of these cases in my hand. I have to admit, the building quality of the case is very great and rugged, with solid handgrip etc, it really inspire confidence. This is why I think they have as much success in discomobile, etc, it's looking very "pro"...
    This can also explain why they often fail : looking at the scratched case, especially on corners, the owner must have dropped the laser some times and must not have much care while transporting the laser!

    The red module is a CNI :

    The green one, don't know, but looks really crappy :

    The usual REALLY CRAPPY dichro and mount :

    All the rated powers on the laser are of course erased.
    Now some measurements

    The green : a steady 2.5mW after all the optics (10mW at the aperture)

    The surprise comes from the red : 165mW after optics, but 650mW at the aperture!!!
    The beam is really bad, 5.5*7mm, and at least the 2/3 of the power is lost through the scanner mirrors.

    To note that the scanners mirrors and the aperture window was not very clean. So the red should be close to the "garanted 200mW" after optics, and well above at the aperture of the laser!

    And the X-axis scanner mirror was also bent, not straight to its axis!!

    I tryed the ILDA test pattern at small angle, and was able to display it correctly at 18kpps, so far from the 50k they advertise... The square test pattern available on Pangolin software doesn't display sharp angle until you decrease the scan speed to 9kpps.

    So one more time, the thing to retain from Laserworld is a great case and a professional look, but shit inside all the way
    This is true for their low cost projectors though. I hope to see on day one of their "higher end" one with Swisslas lasers to compare...

    Where are mayonnaise and ketchup?
    Are both missing ...

    Never seen before now a such dirty setup!
    dust, hot glue residual here and there... and the galvo's mirrors! OMG!!!!

    It seems to be a bad-done McDonald's sandwich, rather than a laser projector...

    I had a Big Mac this afternoon that looked better than that.. If it had looked like that, I wouldn't have eaten it.
