@SBK, red is diode so no IR as its not pumped. Green is pumped but Lasercheck checks specific frequencies so how much its affected by any IR I don't know. 532nm and 800nm are quite far apart. The green only makes up 120mw of the projector's output anyway.

As for the laser being on and displaying patterns, TTL is always at max power as I understand it as the power can't be modulated.

Of course I was speaking for the green only about the IR. I can assure you the Lasercheck is A LOT influenced by IR, anybody on this forum can tell you this.
And there's nowhere 400nm in a 532nm DPSS, only 808nm from the pump diode and 1064nm from the ND-YVO4 first stage crystal. These two wavelenght will be present in the final beam if not filtered.

For example I had a 300mW Laserwave without IR filter. I measured 800-900mW without an additional IR filter, but only 450mW with one!

    Al

Regarding the TTL power issue: With all of the hoohar about the FB3 not giving full output; I tested a TTL laser on my FB3 and the power is lower due to high frequency (duty cycle) modulation. In fact even with a TTL laser you can control the beam brightness with live pro!

This week i had the pro 400-rgy opened, because something was rattling inside, guess what it was - the screws that held the power source for red laser diode were flying around in the case and the box itself was just hanging on wires...

The modules of course have blackened out the power output rates and what confused me that red diode produced beam thick like 3x1mm rectangle but in the output it's thin beam as the green one

I get the same. According to Rob the extra isnt all IR but lasercheck goes insane with just some IR?

Yes there is only a little leakage amount of IR in the green beam (tens of mW I think), but since the lasercheck do some calculations in relationship to the selected wavelength when measuring power, these calculation will be applied to the 808 and 1064nm as well, and make the final power reading much higher than the real cumulative power...
