Default Anyone Identfy this pump diode

Attached is an image of very powerfull pump diode from a 5w cni 457nm we just decided to open up as the laser was only delivering 400mw - 600mw.

The diode is marked FB01L2796 and M1 33390

Its got a fiber connection and its working very well, dangeriously invisible with some red. It has a generic safety label marked 780nm - 1000nm at max power of 50W.

I want to find a datasheet for it.

Its going to be over 2 years old.

Anyone can confirm who makes it this, maybe junktronics can point to a direction?

Unfortunately, I don't recognize those markings or that package. I'd guess it's a 40W bar with each emitter coupled into a fiber and the bundle of 19 fibers brought out at the SMA connector. If it's low power, you might be able to kludge a 40W FAP into that space.

    I think so too.

What do you mean by "kludge a 40W FAP into that space".

I believe that is a Jenoptik module. I think he is saying you could fit a Coherent FAP package in there as a replacement.

I just read your first post again, you CAN connect the fiber to a FAP package, it is the same fiber. These are identical to a Melles unit, except then fixed the big diode issue by making it a fiber coupled package.

I had several PMs about this diode and I am not sure why but it seams people are not understanding,

The Pump diode is working !!!

It contained a short fiber optic link from the diode to the optics, this fiber was burnt out. and we think that is the only problem it has, we cant test further lacking such knowledge.

It has a powers supply and everything, blue output was working slightly even with the burnt fiber but it for sure will need re-alignment to fix it perperly.

considering to ebay it as partly functional for spares or repair with a lot of other stuff we have here as a few were interested.

What price did you have in mind?
Don't eBay it! Let it go to a good home here on PL instead

    Question

Will you be selling just the diode, or the whole laser?

all of it, or i can remove the diode but it wont costs less for just the diode, thats the important part
