    Default LaserWave 2.5 Watt 532

    got my new toy.

2.5 WATTS of nice 532nm coherent light.

ok, maybe im biased a little bit. i *do* sell the product , but DAAAAMN...this thing is GORGEOUS!!!!

sorry, but i didnt get any pictures before i put the laser in my projector. i had a show saturday night and i got the laser friday. i wanted to test her vigorously first then fit her into her nice new LT1000 home.

she metered for about 2 hours straight at 2.7W (CW). i TTL modulated her at 1khz for about 1 hour. 5Khz for 1 hour and 10Khz for 2 hours. i didnt go above the 10k mark. really no need to. i ran a sine from 0V-5V at .5hz for 1 hour for a nice slow rise and fall time. linearity of the power was FABULOUS!!!!

i ran the same 0V-5V at 500hz 1khz, 5khz and 20khz. all performed flawlessly. i ran that for about a combined 1 hour.

when i get a week or so off from shows, hospitals, work, hospice, family, and everything else......i will try to do a thorough bench test with pics for all of you.

if anyone has a specific test they wiould like to see, let me know. i can try to set it up quckly and do it for you. i think in the next day or 2 i will do a Vin vs. output graph. to show the smooth linearity of the modulation of laserwaves lasers.

i *DO* have a complaint though!! BRIDGE....listen up.....

    PLEASE....PLEASE....PLEASE....

provide an adapter plate for your baseplates to mount to our american optical breadboards!!!

oh....before you all have a heart attack.....

    HERE..........

    Thumbs up

It is about time man! Did you pop any balloons with it; light any cigarettes? Nice pictures and sounds like a nice burn in also.

    Hi Marc

What's the beam diameter and divergence like on that laser, I mean like in the real world not what's on the spec' sheet ?

    Cheers
