I will have a 1 watt green (may add some red to it, and maybe even some violet) and my current projector (~250mW GRBV, unless I remember wrong).

It kills me how 350mW green + 150mW blue + 400mW red + 400mW violet = No, not 1.3W, more like 250mW! (I should plug in 5V on all to see what the max output is like though)

    Oh well...

I will have the 1W Spectrum. 980mW after optics...

Mo, we got to work on your layout. You can't be losing that much through the optics.

the point here is to ADD....

so my watt + 1 watt of green is 2 watt and then your rgbv makes it 2.25 plus allthat's watt thats 3.25

    ok so 3.25 so far...

james and I had a great idea... lets stand a 2x4 up in a bucket of sand and all aim at 1 spot and see what we can do...

3.25 is just gonna leave a burn mark.. we need more wattage..

    3.25 +??

That's probably what's happening... I'll try it out sometime to see if I can improve that somehow...

But I guess you can add my 180mW mini argon

We might even convince DSLI_Jon to bring out his monster 4W+ green? Any KTP's or CVL's making an appearance?

Are you trying to light it on fire?

Last year we... Imagelight I believe, had a 3W argon leave a nice lil burn divit in the metal door by the power room. I think there might be a video of someone lighting a tobacco product with it...

If there's going to be any sort of "fire" caused by lasers, it's going to have to be attempted OUTSIDE on the loading dock. The fire alarms in the auditorium are disabled, remember? (Fog machines set them off.)

Also, on a professional level, setting a 2x4 on fire is really not what we want the event to be remembered for, is it? (I seriously doubt that the venue manager would be pleased.)
