I asked Bill about it in an email earlier this week and he said the Lasorb should be available by the end of this month.

    Hi guys,

We are shipping 100 pieces of LASORB to a client end of this month. We are also making another 100 for the Japanese. Soon after that, we will make more and then probably do something like put them on eBay for people who want to buy small quantities.

There are generally two variants right now -- one for BLU-RAY and one for Red/IR diodes. We might make a style that is like a small board with three holes and you solder the laser diode directly to the holes, and then connect your wires to this board. This will provide a convenient connection scheme and also best protection for the laser diode.

Regarding BEYOND, remember, we temporarily diverted development efforts to something that we believe will be of greater utility to a greater number of people (including most folks here on PL). Currently it works only with the FB3, but will soon work with both the FB3 and QM2000. We will be showing this software at Prolight & Sound, and releasing some time after that. More information will be coming soon.

I'm not too sure that Pangolin fits what is described in the link, as the hardware is the same, and Pangolin have a second to none upgrade policy
