    You dont nessecarily need to make it smaller, just shift the positions slightly.

    if you noticed you shifted the parts that covered up the other two slots that I was using for mounting the baseplate to the optical table, you have now only two mounting slots and I am sure that would be enough for mounting down. BUT, You also covered up two of the other smaller tapped holes which I have NOT announced what they are for yet...but for what i needed to do, the four slots and four tapped holes were necessary for the next level of kit to be announced IF I CAN EVER GET MY MILL ON LINE!!!

    Thank you for your input, i will gladly accept any input if it can advance the technology!

    if there were a standard beam height on ANYTHING in this industry, i would design a system that worked just like LEGO, no hardware...only snap fit modules. The final frontier

    True. but I have also uncovered the two middle position holes, I just didnt paste them back onto the plate.
