    Default Beam Splitting Cube Help

    Hello ppl,

Just got my first ever beam splitting cube the other day. made for 405nm.
    and have a few thoughts.

I tryed it but cant seem to get it to really work as the way i thought PBS worked. (see drawing)

I tested with the pbs totally leveled 90degrees against both lasers
but either the lasers went just straight thru or one of the lasers where really dim.

In the other option where i turned the PBS i could get both beams out in one direction with almoust same power as going in the PBS but the beams where not combined, but i didnt align them so much so that could be it.

But i figured i ask here if the pbs should be litle turned before i start alignement.

    Thank you for any answer.

    Regards.
    /Rickard

I know this is a kiddy question for many of you but its actually my first PBS cube ever,

just made a search and found the post about polorizing.

Guess i should try and turn one of the laser so they form a "+"

    correct?

Ok, daft question, but have you rotated the modules? The output varies from zero to full based on their polarisation.
The two modules need to have a polarisation difference of 90 deg.

Edit: Looks like you got that sorted then
