I have been asked to not sell them individually right now, sorry. For that you can make a purchase order request over at the pangolin website, so I have been told

    Hi

Will one of these be able to run a 7 watt 980nm laser diode.
Dose the lasorb only work with blue ray or red diode not ir diodes.

    Thanks

ion, Hi, as each driver max current is 6A, a single driver would probably not be able to drive that diode to 7W. A pair in parallel would be able to. Yes, the red lasorbs can protect IR high power diodes as well.

can you give a quick run through of how the lasorb hooks up and works?

the LasOrb connects directly to the pins of your diode, it will absorb static shock that comes down the wire while operating. The driver bias current setting should be greater than 10mA for proper lasorb operation.

Ok thanks i found out the diode needs 7 amp @ 2 volts

Just got my FlexMod and LasOrb's in...

    Couple quick hookup questions:

I'm not interested in modulation at this time, how do I wire the FlexMod so the laser is always on?

Also, I'm driving some BR diodes that are pre-mounted in Aixiz modules. I assume the LasOrb should be as close to the diode as possible. How much of a detriment will there be if I mount it outside the module?

    Thanks!
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.
