they need a step up transformer to go to 480/3 phase , we have 600amp 208/3 phase... one day i'll run over to HGR Industrial (the place steve mentioned) and grab one. My electric bill already is around 4k a month... those would probably double it!

Well at least you don't need a stone-age hot water heater when you have an Ar+ plasma hot water heater.

And I've got 1000 feet of fiber in nice peaces to make those argons useful without frying the audience.

How about a NEOLEM ? We have a possible venue owned by a laserist in Cleveland, Ohio.

House projector is about a watt of RGB and Pangoed. 500 amp 220/3 service. There are two bars within 1000 feet. 5 more within walking distance. Sound system is built in and loud, like 60 kW or something, I was not listening when they rattled off the number, as it was too loud inside to hear it.This place is a nightclub for its day job. Plenty of space, 3 big rooms no waiting . Rear projection screen off the main space, perfect for graphics. Lotsa big video screens for Demo talks, And the bounce mirrors and two scrims are already hanging.

Unlike scenic , over policed, nosey old south style Newton-Conover (Dont get me wrong, its a nice retirement village, with some friendly folks,) , this place is located in a mix of industrial space and bars along a slightly flamable, crooked, river (well, it hasnt burned since 1970 and you no longer have to put your dog to sleep if he falls in). If your bored with lasers you can go out and watch the ship traffic.

Other positive points, Cedar Point is a hour away for Coaster Fans, We have the Rock and Roll hall of Fame and Museum.A huge world class art museum, Probably the number 3 natural history museum in the world, the Children's Museum and the Science Center with IMAX, a state park with a beach a mile or so away, and the USS COD for housing Buffo (Just kidding Adam!), The Crawford Car Musuem and Nautica Queen and a host of other stuff for the Wife and Kiddies to do. Couple of nice lighthouses too.

Did I mention a side trip to HGR Industrial Surplus, one of the worlds largest, and much neater stuff then Skycraft post 9/11!!!! We could spend a half day at HGR.

For you pilot types, you can fly into BKL, AKR, CGF, or 1G5 or a couple of others outside the CLE class B. Commercial air is into CAK or CLE and CAK has 99$ flights to Orlando and Atlanta in the Summer

This is 38 minutes away from me, 30 for James Lehman, and 5-10 minutes for Laserguy216, Drlava, and Jsalopeck and one or two others.
3-5 hours for you Michigan types, and 4-6 hours for most of Pennslyvania.
5 Hours from Toronto (Less if you speed on the thruway, QEW, and turnpike)

If Dale behaves himself and brings a 6 foot long hene, we might invite him too.

The hotels downtown (bus ride away) are begging for business, so no problems getting a discount rate.

THINK ABOUT IT GUYS! A LEM where you can safely stash the wife and kiddies, making it easier to justify the trip.

Downsides: Our weather changes on the hour, every hour....

WOW!!!, If I had the spare cash, that would be worth a week and a 5000 mile flight. Hate to think how much i'd blow at the industrial surpluse place.
