Default Looks like my pump is down.

Seems like I need a new one of these. What's this type of mount called?

It a 808nm on "Cmount" but do you know how many Watts you need ?
A friend of me tell me it's better for divergence to replace it by a 100µm. But all the diodes on eBay are 200µm...!

Mmm, that's another good question. The laser I'm trying to repair is a 40mW 473nm, which I am guessing is only a few percent efficient. However, I *would* like to get more power if that's possible.

You may be able to squeeze a little more out of it, but you may need to sacrifice the lifetime of the crystals. the pump is probably about 2W.

Talk to mecheng about a "corrected" diode with the micro-rod lens. Your best bet is, whats his name, um, Junktronix..

I see that he have some "corrected" lens (with a microlens) But I dont know if it's better (or equal) than a 100µm diode.
    I need one 2W 808nm too (for my green 250mw laserw***d )

hey Junktronics ! Are your there ??

That is definitely a FAC lensed C-mount diode. Do you know what the diode current was before it failed? That's a good way to determine the diode power. I have JDSU 1.2W and Coherent 3W lensed C-mount diodes in the stash.

Mmm I think it was a 2 watt part. How much do you want for the Coherent 3W?

You can measure the stripe width...25.4 microns is approx .001" if my mind is in order...I will check to be sure. If you have access to an optic measuring system it would be best...non-cantact measuring is best. At 3% conversion 2 watts pump can give 50-60mw....some crystal sets are better only by less than 1% though. You will spend some hours temp-tuning to get optimal results.
