I'm not quite sure. I don't have any way of testing it in a controlled fashion. It does seem to help though.

Interesting... I guess they've moved to that mount for everything then. (I've seen older 6800's that had the standard mount with the scanners mounted 90 degrees to each other.)

The new slanted mount does make it more difficult to mount the scanner block in a projector... I guess the payoff of smaller mirrors was considered to be worth it though.
