Do i have to buy a meter for it? im a little concerned since some of the colours seem a little out of balance, the blue isnt very bright on startup, but even in mid power its a bit dim....

My mistake. Be interested to see inside one of these and also to know what the individual laser powers are.
Video in the dark looks very nice. Have you saturated it at all or is it straight from the camera?
Probably there is 75mw 473nm, 75mw 532nm, 300mw 650nm
I also own a NRG 1W rgb, galvos 40K, CNI modules inside, TTL modulation
red 650nm 800mw - powermeter shows 860 (fat beam)
green 532nm 200mw - powermeter shows 300mw
blue 473nm 100mw - powermeter show 137mw
everything inside looks good except mounting optics - poor quality - I need to buy from stanwax new one with dichros
If someone need pics let me know
I'd love to see some pics of the internals if you have any.
Its always good to see what you can get as an off the shelf solution.
here's few pics

Thanks very helpful.
I can see what you mean about the optics, quite a bit of loss where the beams are passing straight through but hey they've got to make savings somewhere and as optics aren't so expensive to replace better there than elsewhere.
green module have 300mw before optics, but after -before galvos 215mw
red module have 860mw before optics - after dichros 680mw
blue have 140 mw - after 125mw
there's a lot of loss on dichros, but on galvos too
total power before them was about 1000mw - after galvos about 750mw![]()

Think I would strip it down...install some quality dichro's and 3 axis mounts....then mount the lasers and new optics on a 10mm alu plate. Then you will like the set a LOT more. I would attempt to reuse the case but seal off all the optics from outside contaminants...dust...fog juice residue. It's a bad thing when hot glue guns are near anything laser related.......
