if the SQL database can store unicode, then the character set IS unicode. Thats how SQL works. The html can say that its charset=ISO-8859-1 all it wants, but that does not change the fact that unicode characters exist..

without the spaces after the # signs.
remove the spaces and add that to a post.. it says 'testing' upside down and backwards
that is converted to the character by the database and displayed by the font..
the number is like an index into a palette.
WEB FONTS like Arial and Lucida Sans etc.. are unicode fonts.
so the theme does NOT matter.. only the character set and the font..
the character set is stored in the database and if its a web safe font... then its a web safe font..
