Das Forum sollte kein zweites 'sehr Östlich' werden.
    Nur geklaut ist kostenneutal.

    Herr Ing. Gento,

Your dialect confuses our translator software.

Could you speak without slang terms?

We only have three German Speakers on the forumn.

We would very much like to have your dialog.

    Cordially,

Okay, Not perfect.. Ein Kind liest besser als ich es auf Deutsch tun.

"Meine fotos, von meinem webspace ungefragt und dazu noch ohne Quellenangabe zu verlink dule ich nicht. Ich understütze hiermit keine Schmarotzer. Danke, Gento"

    Direct google translation:
My pictures, without asking my webspace and this without a source yet to be linked to, I do not modules. I strongly support offering no parasites. Thanks, Gento

Note: Source in German is a publication or in this case a website is the publication source.

    Modified a bit by me...
My pictures, without asking my webspace and this without a source yet to be linked to, I am not to be linked. I strongly do not support parasites. Thanks, Gento

-Note that if you open the translate link, when you click the link to Gento's website it also translates it automatically.

That link will translate the whole page for y'all... So Gento wants credit for his work, link to his site but don't hotlink to his pictures; bandwidth costs money.

Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.

    Sorry mate.
You've posted german on an English speaking forum again.
Were you asking us to post some pics from your site?

It's a bit confusing when you can't be arsed to use the native language of the forum you are posting on (even when politely asked to).

That's why I never post in English on german forums.
Might be considered bad form, dontcha know .......

Strictly speaking, you are not violating his copyright by hotlinking the image (according to a case that amazon lost, since the image is still on his server you are in the clear in that sense), but it is generally considered bad form because Gentoo has to pay for the bandwith you are using (which can become quite expensive with the amount of traffic pl gets). To solve this problem it is common practice for people to set their web servers up to give a 'stop hotlinking my site' image when their images are hotlinked, as Gentoo has done.

It is essentially the same thing as a stranger coming in with a long extension cord and plugging into the 3-phase in your shop--sure he isn't physically steeling anything but I would sure be pissed...

In any case, it sounds like the tube is getting power (you mention that it has 300v on it), but the supply doesn't think it is. The only 2 reasons i can think of that would cause this are:
    1. The sensing circuity for the capacitor bank is faulty, and is not sensing the voltege
    2. The line voltage is slightly too low/high, and while you are getting close to the output voltage, it is not quite close enough to trigger the 'voltage ok' logic--which would also explain why it would fire up yesterday.

Do you have a variac you could use to give it exactly the correct voltage?
