Sounds like it's too much laser for a mere boy to own then.

Pass it on to a real man who can lift heavy weights.

15Kg? Bah, that's nothing! For the toblerone case, I've calculated the weight of the lower deck to be 12.8Kg alone LOL
That's excluding all struts, side plates, PSU's, and oh the laser's themselves
I reckon the completed weight will be nearing the 25Kg mark

    Hey Jem.
The tripod you used at the last meet, it was one with a winch built on it was it not? At nearly 15Kg in weight it' not going to be ease to lift up by hand.

Yep, it's a Powerdrive stand and it's brilliant

As for the weight, it's really not much of a problem to hoist it onto the plate, from there a quick winch and you're up to regulatory height

See, I knew you were jealous

    Cheers

Well the mount for the Green bounce mirror arrived today and was duly fitted straight away. Having received and fitted this last needed part this now means that for the moment the projector is now finished.

Along the way with this build I'd like to say a quick thanks to the people who have offered me helpful advice, namely Rob and Gooey Gus and to every one else that left the encouraging comments as well. Just looking forward to showing it everyone at the next UKLEM and especially Jem to see what he thinks of his old baby.

Just got to get to grips with this FB3 software now.

Quite a quick build then Carl!
I can't wait to see it in person at the meet.

@Dan Briggs. With Live Pro for the FB3 do you get many more cues than with Live Quick?

Have a look back at page 3 of this thread as now is not a good time to fire up Karl's hazer, (must get that back to him ASAP), or you will see at the next meet.
