yeah we have an forucs St 2.5L turbo underpowered at 225bhp and there is a new focus RS figures TBC, although it will be 4 wheel drive. its suppost to be something like 3L 280 odd bhp.

im only messing with you americans!

its just a very well know fact american cars cant do corners or bends. a blind man can driver fast in a straight line theres no skill involves, where as theres alot of skill involved in corners.

you say engine life, but look at an evo or scooby they dont have engine life problems.

you may also want to consider seat leon's they do a cupra R in a 190 or 225 bhp

you should be able to get a 190 version cheap

A customer of mine has an Evo II which I setup for him (its my main job) and currently runs 660bhp from a 4g63 block. Granted the gearbox has not been that reliable, but the rest of the car has been faultless!! I am currently making a loom for a new ecu which with more precise control and a bit more boost will see him to 700bhp we hope

    Cool

I've got the 4g61T in an all-stock 89 Plymouth Colt Turbo with 175K miles on it. (Yeah, still got the original turbo in it.) It's a beater for sure (even though it still makes the zero to 60 run in 7 seconds), but I've been thinking about hanging on to the car simply because I've read so much about how you can wring 300+ HP out of that little 1.6 liter engine with nothing more exotic than a larger turbo, some larger fuel injectors, and a better fuel computer. Something like $1500 in parts and a day under the hood...

Then again, I've talked to a few owners (in person) that have done the mods (one guy pushed his all the way to 425 hp), and they all say that anything over 250 hp is crazy, since the cars torque-steer like mad.

Eh - it's a spare car right now, and I own it free and clear, so I guess there's no harm in holding onto it for a while. Wonder what I'd do with 300 HP in a 2400 lb vehicle though... Probably wrap the thing around a tree.

Fancy seeing if you can tune my car a little? Haha.

Right Saxo VTRs seam a little rare within the 20 mile radius I have and my second option is a Corsa Sport (either the 1.4 or 1.6, although 1.6 prefered). Theres a lot more Corsas around so I may look into them as well...
