    Default LaserBee Laser power meter

I have a few qustions since he is a member here about his product that he sells!

    the Laserbee I

Is there a way to calibrate this unit in any way ?
Also it is listed to handle 1 watt is this for CW and pulsed energy? duty cycle?

what type of absorbing material ia applied to sensor area?

will this material scorch with a true 1 watt?

A independent documention should be attempted by a few laser operators

here is a link to his product

    To answer your questions......

    1) Yes there is... that info is included with the LaserBee I product
in the included User Instructions on CD

    2) No it was not designed to measure Pulsed energy.. It can measure
pulsed energy but would average it out depending on duty cycle

    3) there is a broadband coating applied to the sensor surface

    4) this material was tested to 1200mW without any noticeable
    degradation or damage

Here is what some members (only on PL) had to say about their
    LaserBee I.....

Well he can put me on his list

    BRING IT ON...

im sitting here watching his shit ...

and the only conclusion i have come up with is that my 11 year old son is more mature , respectfull, and polite.

most of our resident regular posters are sitting in the backgound ... some have even left the forum

all because of this stupid, seriously fuckin tapped, ASSHAT ( as spec would say )

i can honestly say that all the people i have spoken to privately have a great dislike for this guy and what he has done to Photonlexicon ... maybe that was his goal

this guy seriuosly needs some Psychiatric help,

i plead with him to get some proffesional assistance before he hurts someone close to him .

I am still curious about that coating
    Krylon paint #

so with a 100% duty cycle you say 1200mw's will not damage the coating at all?

I'm sure if you would ask Coherent (or any thermopile manufacturer) for their formula and
technique on their coatings you would get a negative response.. I know... we asked in the
early stages of the LaserBee I product development..

Our coating is nowhere as good as theirs... but it will take 1 Watt CW
with no degradation... as I have already posted...and as the Maximum Allowable Specs of the
    LaserBee I Thermopile state...
