Laser Warning 175mW Multiline Argon Laser 179 hours

    Hey all,

I got this laser as part of a trade deal with Junktronix who just happens to live near by I am looking to sell it to make space and get some new stuff. This was his best Argon system putting out 175mW multiline at 10.5A. It has 179.2 Hours on it and the head was never installed. The power supply is used, but works perfectly and only has a few very small scratches on it. The laser is in amazing condition with a great beam quality. It includes a new blower fan that mounts on top or somewhere else and connects with the included flange so you can use a duct to move the air. You HAVE to have the fan on at ALL times when running this laser just like any other argon system.

It's a really great system. Literally turn key. Plug it into any wall socket and turn the key and you are good to go!

    I am asking $650 OBO

    Thumbs up

Nice looking argon head, VERY nice looking Omnichrome PSU! I hope that this goes to a good home .

Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.

Pity you're not in the UK Ben.

If I'd sold my Laser (I haven't yet) I might have been tempted if you were UK based.

Its slowly dawning on me, even if I sell it for what I want to I don't think I'm going to get enough to construct a whitelight. So I've been thinking I might try and pick up a couple of hundred watt multiline argon (wanting a new compact design one like the current Cohrerents) and a FB3 and pocket the difference. At least that way I get some colours and computer control within budget and couple of hundred milliwatts with some lenses (I have -12 dioters) may be manageable within the constrains of the the new audience scanning rules if approved. Obviously I'd have to make some measurements to confirm but it might enable me to guarantee safety and thus enable me to manage what I originally set out to achieve - to get a stunning laser show for home parties safely.

A 200mw argon with 200 mw of red will make a pretty good white light and still be "reasonably" compact.

I can ship it to the UK, but it will cost a bit more.

I appreciate the offer but I haven't sold mine yet and with the way baggage handlers handle luggage, I wouldn't trust them with it on a flight. Too much glass in a gas laser.
