Default Look at this cute lil' CO2 tube I found on ebay...

I won a 10W co2 laser yesterday... I won it for only 60 bucks, so I couldn't really pass it up. It's overall length is around 16". I think I'm going to build it into a nice plexiglass enclosure.

Anyway, my question is about power requirements. Does anyone know what kind of power this thing probably needs? Can I get away with using a rectified neon sign transformer? Thanks in advance for the help!! Here's a quick picture:

I think I have a small PSU for a CO2 laying around somewhere. I'll dig it out and se if I can find some data on it.

for that I wouldn't go over 10KV at maybe 10ma. It doesn't require much to operate. It's so cute!

Maybe when I'm all done with the enclosure I'll put some "Hello Kitty" stickers on the box

A neon sign transformer on a Variac would work great for that tube.
