My guess is that Steve (mixedgas) will probably know what this thing is. Anyone can answer. Is there any interest here at PL. if not does anyone know what this thing could get at a popular auction site?

My guess is that it's the main part of a gas spectrometer, or some similar analytical device.

Light scattering system for measuring scattering materials/particles in solution.

Right now, without the associated processor electronics, its a HENE, sample cell, two Hammatsu PMTs, two PMT psu HV driver-amplifiers, two photodiodes, some sort of beamsplitter-dichro, plus probably (90% sure) a red POL cube, some photodiodes, a microscope objective clone, Four Calling birds, Three french Hens, and a Partridge in a Bear tree.

Does the HENE have a PSU? Whats the part number on the HENE?

Worth more to part it out here then go through Flea-bay's fees and BS.

Works on using pulse statistics and FFT of the noise from the hene scattering, which requires some serious math. When attached to a processor, Gives back particle speed, size, density, and some other data.
