If you're arriving on Friday, you can come to the venue first to drop off your gear before dinner, if you want...

What time are we meeting for dinner Fri ?

I was thinking 6 PM. However, no one else has commented yet.

I will be in town on Friday at around 2 PM. I'll head straight to the venue, and will be there until we leave for dinner. So anyone that wants to stop in on Friday afternoon to unload their gear (and help me move tables...) is welcome!

Where are we eating dinner?

Well, I was thinking about either Outback Steakhouse (which is located about 1/2 mile past the venue, on hwy 441 in Leesburg, on the left), or Angelo's Italian restaurant, which is just before the venue (also on the left side of hwy 441).

However, since Paul is worried that I might blow a gasket, I suppose I shouldn't even be talking about dinner plans. Silly me - trying to nail down the details when we have a whole 7 days before the event and all, right?

I really don't care where we meet for dinner. Both places have really good food. Angelo's has a very tall ceiling, which is ideal for laser pointer fun, should we be so inclined. They also have *great* desserts. But Outback will probably get us in and out quicker, leaving us more time for laser fun at the venue later that evening. (Yeah, even though the event isn't supposed to start until Saturday morning, we usually sneak back to the venue Friday night for a little mini-LEM!)

What time are we meeting for the event Sat?

I'll be there at 9 AM. Show up whenever it's convenient for you, so long as it's after 9AM. We will probably run until midnight at least.

Should I bring this stuff? I thiought it might help out.

We'll have plenty of fog machines, so no need for that. Tell me about your sound system though. We'll have a lot of audio already (3200 watts RMS from 3 different amps feeding four 15" woofers, two 12" woofers, and four large horns), but there's nothing wrong with even more power, if you've got something with a lot of punch...

Rum! Bring the rum! If you'd like to bring other stuff, that will be fine. I normally make a run to Publix on Friday to pick up sodas. Did I mention to bring the Rum?

My sound system is a toy compaired to what you have. I'll leave it home.
The smoke stays home too.
I'll toss the screen in no problem. The only thing I ask is to not damage/burn it. It is brand new. Only used twice. I'm sure you know how pricey they are.
Rum? What rum did I say I was bringing rum.No problem I'll mix up a new bottle just for the event.

Funny, Paul... Of course, since you're not going to join us for dinner anyway, it's easy for you to make fun of the situation. But speaking for the rest of us, it would be nice to know WHERE we're going to meet for dinner.

I do, I'm off wednesday, thrusday and friday. Next weekend will mark the 4th straight weekend I've had to work, and I work the weekend after that. Isn't life wonderful?

I may be able to get down there for the dinner and "post dinner laseoff", if so I can just bring the amps. I'll know for sure next week. Saturday though, is going to be a no-go.
