Still what still I don't have a still.![]()
Cat has a point.
Right on man! Glad to hear you're making it out there... yet another local in O-Town! And better yet, one that makes his own rum?![]()

I'm sure you know this... but lasers and alcohol don't mix... except at LEM's
Looking forward to meeting you at FLEM... this one should be a good one... We sure are making the non-SouthEastern-USAers jealous

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt & selling it in a garage sale.
That was sort of the theme of the last FLEM...We started with a 1.75 liter bottle of Captian Morgan's. What was left over wasn't even enough to make a single, stiff rum and coke! (Did I mention that we like Rum?)
Sounds like a lot of fun... There was a learning curve to home brewing beer as well, but I've got it down to a science now. (Even though I cheat now and then and use pre-hopped wert mixes.)I decided to give home brew a try. There is a definate learning curve, but once you get it boy look out.
Ok - you have now captured my full and undivided attention!My current batch straight out of the still 196 proof thats only 2% off of pure.
That sounds awesome! Can't wait to try it!I delute it to 100 proof and spice to give it that Captain taste with a twist. When I'm done it's good for sipping or mixing.
I'd be only to happy to offer my review!You will have to let me know what you think. I may have to bring some to SELEM too.And yeah, I'm going to bring some home-brew to SELEM as well. (No time to get a batch ready for FLEM though.
)
Nah... He's safe. According to federal law, a single adult can brew up to 100 gallons of beer or wine each year, or 200 gallons per household, so long as it is for personal consumption and not sold. Not sure what the limit is for spirits, but I think it's pretty high - something like 50 quarts? Some states have more restrictive limits (like Georgia, where they dropped the limit on beer to 50 gallons per year back in 1995), but it's still legal.
The ATF folks only get involved if you're stupid enough to try to sell the stuff.
No problem Cathy. And we'll be good,You guys worry me...........I'll stick to my Mt. DewI promise! No one got out of control at the last two LEM's (despite the amazing quantities of rum consumed at both events), and there were several people that stuck to either Mt. Dew or Diet Pepsi for the whole day, so you won't be alone!
We should be doing more synchronized beam shows this time around. We did a lot of that at the last one (in May), and it really looked great. Wish we had done more of it back in March too... I think we need to devote a couple hours to that this time.I'll take my camera for the behind the laser scene stuff. Cat
And the problem with that is?
If you can make it to FLEM, I'll bring the Birthday Cake!
