    The pictures are really interesting!
    This looks to me like an external cavity laser diode in littman configuration. The grating has written 635nm on it. No Power specs though.
    Maybe useful for holography.

    That's no ALC, that's a spectra physics! Well it looks like one to me, ALCs don't have that emission indicator on the top.
