.just want to jump in here to say thanks to Aaron the OP of this thread-

I stole his idea and used it at the pointer forum and it has been a great thread- VERY active and I am touched by how the members respect each other in most cases.. I looks like most are going along with the 'dibbs' thing and NOT bidding up auctions others are bidding on. Lots of listing placed there that are up for grabs- and follow-up posts letting us know how the auction turned out- quality of the item etc.

Im not trying to be a dick here but-- at MOST forums you need to either find and post the item AND call DIBS> or if another has posted and not called dibs then anyone can call dibs at that time & they need to post that asap
--- that IMO is the only fair way to do this-- first to call 'shotguin' gets the front seat- too late if not called.. But I wont bid and do wish you good luck plz let us know how this turns out (another 'rule') its a custom to tell the final price paid and other details- this makes us all smarter bidders/buyers;; agree??

Actually, I'd been bidding on this before I even realised this thread existed. Besides, I did put the winking smiley at the end of my post

I would agree with NobleGas that the 'rule' here is generally 'don't be a dick' if someone expresses interest in the laser either bid on a different one (there are several listed) or if you really want the laser communicate over PM so that you don't end up bidding against eachother.

Someone in new york should go and pick up this yellow CVL http://www.ebay.com/itm/AESCULAP-MED...-/281677678475 it is known working and basically being given away for the $100 asking price. Would save me having to ponder driving to new york to pick it up every few weeks when it gets relisted
