I read the listing as just being the heatsink and peltier. "Untested" == "Broken" in my experience. Are people actually getting working lasers?

I thought the same thing Dan; usually when a seller shows a complete system, as this seller did, then shows just a component part, it's that bit that you end up with, in this case a TEC and heatsink.

Nah, it says the head in the listing and others have bought them and gotten the whole thing.

Some things people just cant test. That's why there is the for parts or not working category.

I bought them for parts, but I did test one and it worked.

Man, I thought my Lexel PSU / Coherent Medical Argon Head /Lexel Iodine Frequency Locker combinations were strange, but a Lee PSU driving a Z-Fold in That Cobra Case takes the cake...

There's some interesting stuff on eBay if you search cambridge scan - instead of scanner

Default Not lasers, but still a good E-bay find...

Gotta give Randy (Stuka) credit for finding this one:

Remember the Vortex 285 FPV racing quad that Chris and I were flying in the field across the street at SELEM last year? Well, they've dropped in price again.

You can get one for $159 now! (They used to sell for $449.) Here's the link: (https://www.ebay.com/itm/ImmersionRC...-/131566390440)

The reason they are selling so cheap is because Immersion RC came out with a new quad that replaces the 285. The new one is slightly smaller, uses a different flight controller, and has a couple extra features (including even more HUD modes). But it's well over $400! The 285 may be the older model, but it still flies great, and at this price it's a steal...

Just add your own radio and battery and you're ready to fly. (Well, you need a pair of FPV goggles too...)

Get them while they're still available. I bought a spare just to keep on the shelf!

    Adam

PS: If you buy one of these, be sure to ditch the stock props. This bird flies *much* better with 3-bladed props. I run bull-nose 5045s on mine (3S, 2200 mAh flight battery) and it screams!

Anyone near Salisbury, NC that feels like gambling on a $75 Lexel 95?
