found what is touted as a small air-cooled whitelight.. if it actually is mixed gas the price seems very good:

Agreed. Those lil g's are tempting. It would be an easy way to explore the DMX capabilities on my qm2k.

Is it just me, or has there been a resurgence of interest in "old school" effects like lumia, beam launchers, bounce mirrors, etc.

    yes it is

you too can feel the pain and frustration of DMX in pangolin lol

and not sure if its resurgent or not but I have always loved all that stuff personally... a projector with just scanners is neat but doing other stuff adds to the total effect

I've never actually seen a cylindrical whitelight like that either, but just because I haven't seen one doesn't meant they don't exist..

I will say that just because the sticker says a certain power or range of wavelengths doesn't make it so, and if the seller is known for being crappy then stay away.

a freq stabilized hene head http://cgi.ebay.com/HELIUM-NEON-LASE...ht_1318wt_1133

a light wave 210g laser head that I owned for a while, tested it found it to be working putting out good power beam quality etc, traded it to laserben, who then proceeded to blow out the diodes and I think he did actually replace them, but unless he has a sheet of lightwave warranty stickers I have my doubts. FWIW you can reset the hour meter on those heads using the serial port and info available on Sams faq.

It should make the 2.5mw power stated in the auction though!

The labels are cut, you can't really tell from the pictures.
