and this looks like a little jem. can someone please buy it and send it to me?????? (just joking, but what can it be with all these prisms in there? maybe a waveplate, too?) http://cgi.ebay.com/Laser-module-exp...ht_2298wt_1139

Aw crap, I just bid on those, then realized they said "Vanadate", not KTP.
Ebaying without enough sleep is fail
Ah well, its unlikely I'll get them anyway.

I'm already bidding on those laser rods he has, and I have a 20W pump diode coming in the mail.
The golden glass sounds interesting. I wonder if he'll sell some?

Don't know where the guys getting his stock from, but he appears to be selling Brand New QS systems for £340. He has 2 listed:

Sure as fuck looks like one to me.
The CooperVision sticker on the front should come as one hell of a hint for where it was previously used.

    Some 445nm modules:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/1000mw-445nm-blu...item20b4ea5c99

Modules look to be identical, I doubt the 1W version has 2 diodes inside, so I guess it's just pot modded to output 1W instead of the 500mW.

You can get 445nm modules a lot cheaper than this, but those are mostly stock-lensed diodes with a driver bolted onto it. I wonder what this one has to make a 'difference' from the cheaper units.

Any of you building these? ... should be a good starting point when combined with the GB diode mounts and a Flexmod....

Will this thing pop balloons? Car tires? Windows? Solid brick walls maybe?

Ha, that is nothing. Once in a while I work on gear that needs water cooled mirrors. I'm not kidding.

I'm sure this won't go down well with Pangolin as they set a minimum price that protects their sellers, this guy isn't towing that line so one has to assume hes just a fly by nighter. Look at the state of his videos - esp. the second one - cant even be arsed to tidy up and look professional (more of a joke when he has the name Pro Laser UK in the top corner!) so you can imagine how professional his service would be. Ok I know we all want to buy stuff at as lower price as we can but this does nothing for the consumer in the long term when the supplier makes so little money he goes out of business (or in this case when the DSS catch up with him) and cant provide support for the customer. I hope the tax man gets him too.

If you need to ask the question 'whats so good about a laser' - you won't understand the answer.

I think you mean the 3rd video unless he's swopped their positions. Certainly trousers over chairs doesn't convey the type of corporate image I'm sure Pangolin would prefer and I would have thought the same about lounge projection. If you had to project in a house then I would have thought it preferable to shoot straight on to the wall so all you saw was a building wall and nothing else.

Also on the 2nd graphic video with the scrim, why have smoke in the air? The visible beams totally spoil the graphics to my mind.

    Maybe I'm just picking hairs.

I'm just surprised he's got stock thats all as I thought Pangolin only supplied registered companies whereas this appears, rightly or wrongly to be a home trader.
