Can anyone comment on these 10mm FL lens? Seams like a good deal to me, if usable with 445.

It's tough to say exactly without knowing what the numerical aperture is, but using a 10mm lens as a collimator along with prisms you can set it up to get a nice, but fat beam (~10mm dia) which will clip drastically at your galvo mirrors or a skinny, but divergent (1.7mrad) beam.

Here is the funny thing. Holokid who is selling this prism/lens combo just sold me 2 empty lab housings, received today.

Putting 2 and 2 together, you will see he is buying these dead modules, selling the housing and optics separately for a profit. Oh well.

The 2 housing I received today are nice, Dave's brass LD just fits and there are 2 mounting holes that match perfectly. I'll use one of these with a single 445 and prisms from p1t8ull and have room to fit a P3 driver in also (also received a bunch today).

The 2nd housing will not accommodate my quad 660 build...

Could you send me a link to Dave's brass modules? I also ordered one of those lab housing and intend on building a TEC cooled blue with it, just looking at module options now.

He's been doing it for awhile now. If you view sellers other items, you will find parted-out dead B&W modules. Nothing wrong with making a profit. I thought about doing it before he started, but I keep finding reasons to keep the 4 I have.

Funny, I seem to remember Dave and a couple other people bitching at me because I was selling below spec units as nonworking units for more than I had paid for them...

    Here you go. http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...lock-group-buy.

Check this out for a nice fit.The exit aperture is close if you remove Dave's brass mounting base, but alas I feel I will be reworking the exit. My 2 units came with IR filters still in place and also a pinhole mask. I am yet to find out what the internal threaded holes are, they are not M3 or UNC. Maybe M2.5? Again, I think I will simply retap M3 myself. Heaps of room to mount the prism pair.
