He tells me that the reserve is £2500.

Well over priced.

Also an I70 will make 8W in your dreams, 3-5 is more like it.

I picked up an I70 doing a measured 5W for £500, which frankly is about what I would expect to pay, (and given the cheap ass blue available these days, probably more then it is now worth).

Particularly for a laser of unknown hours that has been in a club environment (notoriously hard on lasers), I would let this one slide.

IMHO he's asking too much for it. For £2500 (~4K USD) you can get a nice 2W green DPSS), which draws less power and lasts longer.

Thanks for that, £500 is about what I was think also, not that I want it as you say a dpss is a lot more pratical, I wanted to get the opinion of someone how would have a lot better idea that me.

The seller is probably Simon Johnson from Wiltshire.

Drove alllllll... the way down to pick some stuff up from him years ago.

That said; doesn't affect that the list price is a little too much in 'this day and age'.

With reference to the power quoted, the manufacturers label clearly shows 8 watts peak but as I said, I dont have anyway to measure it and when I purchased it the output was around 4.5 watts,

I'll happily sell my SP whitelight (with auto refill and some spare) for £2500 the manufacturers label says 10watts !! (It produces 4) and has less than 250 hours on it.

It's never visited a club, and been looked after lovingly.

For that money, I can buy lots of lovely DPSS and pay for the holiday my Mrs has booked.

Comes with head, exciter and tranny and a free Grin on sale.
