Can I fit it in my cupboard? Seriously though, if things go to plan I'd seriously consider that!

    Default Thorlabs Optical Table 1500mm x 1000mm

The guy has 30 of them.....

    Ebay Item number: 170593082650
These are good units, with the metric spacing and M6 holes.

Composite construction so merely very heavy as opposed to stupid heavy.

May be of interest to those with a lab or a holography setup?

Also an I70 will make 8W in your dreams, 3-5 is more like it.

I picked up an I70 doing a measured 5W for £500, which frankly is about what I would expect to pay, (and given the cheap ass blue available these days, probably more then it is now worth).

Particularly for a laser of unknown hours that has been in a club environment (notoriously hard on lasers), I would let this one slide.

So, are you going to show me where I can get a £500 5 watt ion laser from then ???

    Certainly not here.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Last I checked Clive over at Laser Electronics had some cheap argon stuff going (Offered me a choice of I70 or SP 168 for that sort of money because he needed the space).

Gas rigs these days tend to be worth whatever you can get for them, and if you can find someone willing to go £2500+ for an I70 rig that it is all good, I just wish I could....

Those enterprise power supplies are 'interesting' to work on (Very switch mode style, no documentation), so I would favour finding yourself something older as the passbank stuff while less efficient is easier to fix, also be more then a bit surprised if that little enterprise is making 5W.

    Regards, Dan.

Those were some sort of photo-diode things, there were a bunch floating around here and nobody wanted them besides SVC...
