    Thumbs up

    Hey S3K...

It came out of a large-Casino install, where it had-been pampered like a baby - extremely well (...and properly...) cared-for... But, since it was 'paired' with a Kr on a large-table (..making ~28W of WL in it's prime!! and we used our Sabres for large-scale WL shows, there wasn't much use for these, show-wise, especially since it was 2x the power / water to 'get white'... Had-considered whitelighting the both of them, several-times, but the pricetag, at the time (..and the fact of already having mammoth WL-power covered with the Sabres...) we decided to wait... Though, the Ar did do a couple notable shows / fx - one was a 'sphere-design' on the clouds, in blue-only for a demo for 'War of the Worlds', and another was some big-Corp sho in San Diego-area, I forget where, exactly..

...But now it sits, at $5500. (!) waiting for a new 'master'... Only gets a 'run', ~once a month, to keep it healthy... Sad...

Well, if you *become* the 'next owner', you can't envy yourself, now can-you? ..just kidding... but, do feel-free to buy it, if you-like...

    ..OK, back to the FleaBay-channel...

    cheers...

    Quick FYI...

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/SPECTRA-PHYS...-/230386510296

...my call on 'condition': tube is full of water, see this pic: http://www.mhzelectronics.com/EBAY/B..._265_SET_7.JPG - you can tell by the way the brewster-stem 'refracts' the view of the cath-wire, behind it... Not to mention the missing optics-holders and mirrors - a bit costly to replace...

Just irritates me to see: "...Both units were removed from service in good working condition, they have since been placed in storage so that no damage can occur." - and then having the pix prove the complete-opposite - Nooo, this unit was 'removed from service' because it is FILLED WITH WATER, moron! I guess nearly all these 'med-surplus' sellers must simply 'cut and paste' the same listing info, regardless of whether any of it is actually *true* or not...

..Not-that anyone will be 'jumping' on this, but, just a 'word to the wise'...

Here's a laser from the early days of holography that's available cheap. This model is from the late '60s and was also sold through Edmund Scientific as their model 79006. There's also a very old SP-155 offered by the same seller. If not already in my collection, these would have been snatched up in a second!

This one is kinda funky, at first I thought it was a spectrometer with a cooled detector, but it appears that the detector is a 2d one (as opposed to the 1d or single pixel detector expected for a spectrometer). You at least get a cooled detector (probably InGaAs or Ge if they are using phase change cooling on it) and some nice optics, if you are lucky it might be an array of APDs or other fast detectors for a 2D LIDAR (ie, 3D time of flight camera) application. http://www.ebay.com/itm/A82723-FTS-K...ht_1852wt_1299

not an ebay auction, but the Shed is selling rotarty solenoids for $3. These would make a good shutter or scan-through effect actuator.
