    IIRC, the 4050 emits UV. It has the dual bore design. The interesting bit is the gas treatment equipment.

    The plan worked! I figured if I posted it here, someone would buy it and remove temptation! Not that I would have any use for it, or the knowledge of that type of laser to keep it working, but it was so big and shiny!

    Haha, yes the 'plan' certainly worked. I emailed Iain to ask him a couple of questions just before I got my wallet out. Literally a minute before he sent his reply to me someone had pressed the 'Buy It Now' button. I have to say i'm pretty relieved though as i'm not quite sure what i'd have done with a 50 watt YAG. I'm hoping it will make an appearance at Surfleet .

    He also told me he'd had a 'load' of interest this morning
