mmm... This EBay seller has something on his/her listings that is similar to a deja-vù... did someone hear about an old EBay seller "heruursciences" or more lately, "hesc-photonics"?

    My first thoughts exactly!!
Chris L. and I have known each other and done many good deals- I was sure at the very least Tony either knew heruur or got some of his stock from him, or both.

They are even in the same state( Wisconsin)--

I wrote Tony that I had lost contact with my friend Chris and asked if he knew Chris but got no reply to those questions. Chris is still selling but only AFAIK at Ebid. .

WE need to compare the pics and description of the items (especaily the IR modules) between the two, but this would not necessarily mean anything bad was going on... IMHO.

I'd wager that Tony and Chris are the same person. The style of the descriptions is too similar to be just a Wisconsin thing.

^^ Well I always knew he lurked a lot here- and I am also very glad to see a post(his second one ever- last one was 2+yrs ago.) In comparison he was a post-whore at ph0t0nforums - but, sadly that forum is now gone- too bad, IMHO, as its was really the only one that never excluded anyone (by treatment from some members)& instead welcomed and embraced anyone with interest in lasers--that is not meant as a necessarily and all bad thing.

I agree with Dr Sam-- I asked about the possible relationship between Tony and Chris in a way that did not come off as a ' Heruur-hater'(cause I am not one)-- Chris never mistreated me in any way & I followed the dirty tricks pulled on him at Ebay- and it was not pretty-- taking down a competitor at ebay is far too easy-- they seem to think that no one will sink that low-- and ebay is very wrong.

I can't speak on others who were not happy --just my own dealings with him.

While Tony did not say he did not know Chris he also did not say he did.

But that is all behind us now-- and the past is the past.

So far I have found Tony to be very laser savvy, friendly, and quick to reply to all questions- he kindly works with buyers to combine shipping and even goes as far to set up items in a special ebay listings that only you can buy.

I have a few items coming soon and will post my honest opinion on them..

So if someone here wants to 'go after' Chris by coming down on Tony--I guess they will. if that makes you feel better then....

Heruur dealt with hundreds of buyers and thousands of items and when you talk about numbers that large making everyone 100% happy 100% of the time is NOT an EASY task.

Does anyone have an opinion about the item I linked in post # 2002 ? That IMO seems to be more important.

    BTW HELLO SAM!!

don't be such a stranger--- we always like to hear from you... ( that is one thing I am pretty sure we ALL agree upon)

Agreed! Sam should chime in a little more often!

I don't know from diddly about gas lasers (yet)but, to me, nice beam properties or not, only 60mW of white for what amounts to $1,100 + dollars just seems like an awful lot of money. What on earth would you use it for unless it's something specialized for the hologram crowd that I know nothing about.

Ahh...memories. I spent that much on my first air-cooled argon over 20 years ago (and thought I got a good deal). I remember when 60mW was A LOT of power for a home laser show (as long as the lights were out and the windows were covered up). Now I just heat up my room for a half hour every 3 weeks with it....
