    Looks pretty dead - weak purple discharge. There's a small chance it would recover somewhat from running but it's very small.

    Here's a really cool looking vintage Hewlett Packard frequency stabilized He-Ne plasma tube for dressing up a bookcase. I'd be making an offer but already have one, given to me by Professor Tony Siegman of Stanford who had it on his bookshelf for many years.
