Default 2 colour Medical Laser - Yag and Holmium 544 and 633

Found this on ebay for all you high power outdoor pulsed lovers:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/COHERENT-Versa...3A1%7C294%3A50

    Stated to be 4 joules.

Know nothing about it other than what's stated there so this is purely to make you aware of the sale. No recommendations on seller or product either way!

If thats the one I think it is, it has a spinning prism that can couple to 4 different internal laser heads every few milliseconds. So you can have combinations of holmium , ruby, doubled yag and yag at a high rep rate.

Speaking about pulsed medical lasers.. I stumbled upon this baby:

    http://cgi.ebay.nl/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=200365994131

2W 515 nm, 5W all-lines.. seeing these figures make my 'bid' fingers tinkle.. :s But is this useful in any way? Is able to produce light longer then a few seconds a time? Could it do CW..?

Probably could do CW, but more like 1W green though.
It seems cheap enough to try though.

I have one of those heads (and the manual to the system), the model 2000 is a 20w/2j laser (also can do lower pulse energy/higher rep rates) of 2100nm. I don't know where they got the 544nm, the only thing that baby does is 2100nm and 633 from the 5mw hene aiming laser. Quite nice heads, although due to the fact that 2100nm is absorbed by water it has a funky secondary cooling loop that probably needs to be filled with some kind of organic compound that cools the optics.

here is a drawing I made of the head: (ignore the purple rod, the ho:yag rod actually in the laser is lime green!)

That one has a hackable single phase/three phase (does both) power supply and can do CW with additional cooling.

I probably have the schematics if its ML400 supply back home in ohio.

Its a poor but somewhat accurate copy of a CW American Laser product.
