    Talking comments about pangolin beyond

Just wanted to make a few notes-

What I have seen of beyond is exciting-

Very logical progression, especially crossing industries for those who use 3d programs on a regular basis-

Think cinema 4d / 3dmax / autocad- but for a direct to laser solution-

points are history- "pointless" as King Pango puts it-

with exeption of live pro- exsisting ld versions can be tossed out the window-

I have to hand it to Bill-

Just when everyone has emulated his current offering- polished their interfaces, and headed to market-

Pango has shifted gears once again making current interfaces seem antique-

    Exclamation

I am impressed; I can almost see a bit of sincerity there... Beyond must be something special for a reaction like this.

I just hope you don't need 3D CAD skills to use it to the full as some us of (me) are artistic numb skulls.

I'll never forget the day I drew a dog in art class and the teacher came across and said what a nice cow I'd drawn!!!

I am going to wait till more information, including pricing information comes out before I make any comments

I do hope beyond will have a replacement for live pro...

and ya I agree that beyond is pretty much the goodbye for the QM cards... since it just uses whatever interface (QM or FB3 apparently?) as a frame buffer, the QM2k will just be a PCI (aka pain in the ass) version of a FB3

When the FB3 is 16bit and has network compatibility, maybe

Again from my guess beyond will certainly not be the end of the QM series and certainly not a hang for the Quickshow users.

It will likely not be a dissapointment for both user, and also not a disspointement for people that say bought an LD2000 pro.

Just to have you think a bit, why would Bill say that LD2000 systems purchased of now will get a free upgrade to beyond?????
I certainly think aspect like the whole 3D side of the program will be simplified, but products like LC-max Will NEVER be dropped, LC-max might be difficult to handle for most laserists at the moment, but that doesn't make it a bad product at all.

LC-max will always be offering to most without an doubt but requires a fair bit more of knowledge but also gives you a more advanced degree of freedom that way.

Anyways whatever It will look like and turn out to, it will be become AMAZING... I'm 100% convinced of this.

Also I like to do a shoutout to say that today is the official 50th anniversairy that the first man on moon landed.
So in other words: Happy birthday pangolin!

Heh and that's one of the things why I offer my support for teaching over here.

3ds max might be a bit heavy on your wallet yes, I have to agree by 100% on this.
But the more you work with 3ds max the more you realise why this is.

There are still many surprises buried in LC-max. If you were on the booth you saw one of them that was one of mine.
*hint* realtime controlled 3D character *hint*

    what do you mean with:
"especially crossing industries for those who use 3d programs on a regular basis"
    ??
you mean rendering them absolete? Even though I strictly doubt that and am not worried about this being true for a little part.
Modeling will always require skill, the only thing that is possible to do is leaving things out in the interface or displacing or hiding parts.

I speak from a more then 5 years experience, so anyone who wants to argue against that last statement: "be my guest hehe"

Nah, not quite correct... Today is the 50th Anniversary of the first manned spaceflight, Yuri Gagarin was the first human in space. The first Moon landing was on July 20th 1969.
