    yea tell me about it
swapping the diode is the easy part.
then realligning everything and finding the sweet spots takes a lot of time
especialy temperature tuning takes so mutch time
i kinda have the idea that the dont realy fine tune the cni lasers
ive seen several cni modules green and blue when just alligning everything properly give a couple 10-100 mw's extra depsning on the org pwr ofcourse
Do not look into laser with remaining eye

For example, the 80mW 100mW and 150mW all have excacly the same components. CNI assembles and do a quick tune, if it puts out 120mW they label it as 100mW if it puts out 90mW they label it as 80 mW is if it puts out 170mW they label it 150mW.

so in theory if you re-allign and tune a 80mW you can get 150mW model, but there is difference in cristal quality.

Can you tell me your procedure how you temp tune the laser? do you start with crystal or with diode tec?

i always start with the diode tec
i try to find a sweet spot that generates the most output
i use a dmm with a temp sensor to monitor the diodes temp.
and tune to get between 21 and 25 degrees depending on where the most power is generated.

then i start with the crystal tec.
most crystals like to be warm but the temperature varies greatly on all lasers
some produce most power at 32 degrees some at 40 and up.
its just a case of trial and error bassicly.
sometimes it even helps to move the whole crystall assembly from left to right or front to back.

hey guys ...eh..i'm new here and i know it's not good to dig out the old thread but may i ask that is there anyone knows the pin config of these CNI PSU?
i've got a lot of modules which do not have power driver, so i'm figuring that whether i can find a way to light them up

i've looked into CNI site but can find nearly nothing except this
