I did something similar with the xbox 360 controller a few months back:

I did it through a series of key mappings and a virtual midi pass through driver

    Default First Wii-to-Laser script

    Hi,

Here version 1.0 of the script for Wii-to-Laser.
Download GlovePie, import the script and go!

    It can do:

When Wii button B is pressed and IR bar is used:
-Change X and Y position by IR camera.

When Wii button B is released:
    - Wii roll (turn left/right): rotate image on X.
    - Wii pitch (turn back/front): rotate image on Z.

    Keys:
    - When Wii Home button is pressed: resets X and Y to center.
    - When Wii Minus button is pressed: previous page in LivePro.
    - When Wii Plus button is pressed: next page in LivePro.
    - Arrow keys: will jump over the LivePro page.

    Have fun!

    Feedback will be appreciated
