    Lightbulb

I wouldn't open them; then I would send them to daedal with said lasorbs and flexmods with a few dollars and have him assemble them into modules for me...

I'll wait till I have an antistatic hot air soldering station... this is all I can do, and I won't risk using my old JBC iron on them

Just treat them as if they will explode when touched, directly or not. At least until you get the Lasorb installed. Wished these things were around a few years ago...I would have had a more pleasant learning curve.....less expensive too.

Yep, most of them went out today.
The diodes I kept in the tray and just hot sliced it apart so the diodes never left the safety of the anti-static tray on their way to you. To open them, untape the tray section you receive and use a razor or knife to pry off the translucent tray lid (because hot slicing seals the lid to the tray bottom). Make sure the diodes don't pop out in the process.

there are a few left over that I was going to build into units. Don't know about another group buy at this price, they had reduced the price because of temporary overstock. If you are interested in the extras at a slightly increased cost over the GB send me a PM.
