Hmmmm - been looking into heat hire for the weekend - lots of halogen and gas heaters - it seems the biggest fan heater that I can hire out around here is only 3kW so it's really not worth doing as most home fan heaters are 1.6-2.5kW anyway!

Bring your fan heaters, and a jacket, with yer people!

I was speaking to my missis about this as she uses the hall every Thursday for a toddler group - the halogen wall heaters are on for 1 hour before the group starts and she says the hall is always too bloody hot for her liking so I am thinking of switching them on early morning on Friday and getting the hall nice and warm then just an hour here and there over the weekend, maybe morning, dinner time and evening, when we are all outside, freezing our nads off

    Thumbs down Bugger.

    Greetings chaps,

Looks like I may well miss the event..

With all the bad weather we have been having - specially up this way, last week my estate Veccy got written off.. pissed off.. first accident in 10 yrs! (grumble)

So even tho I could get there with my DPSS kit, bringing the Spectra Phys is unlikely (and a bloody shame cos it needs a run) as it needs the stepdown transformer which weighs about 50kg's and wont fit in our other car.

Any suggestions on how to get a huge f-off tranny in a flight case down there without a estate / van - I could start pushing it now it is on wheels

Lasermad Paul?!?! are you going ?? wanna be road buddies ?

    There's your answer right there.
A bit of rope tied to your back bumper and tow it behind you.
Take it easy and you'll be fine.

Andy, that's shocking. Finish off your projector while you're driving over on the Friday afternoon. All ya need is a drill and a few allen keys
I thought you were always first there!?

Sleep in your car??? Sleep in the hall will be far better surely

I've seen scarier things driving down some of those local surfleet roads after darkness..........
