    yeah,

    check this out

    11520 lm of 405nm drawing 160W @ 48V

although, all these high power led's are really just LED arrays. It's kinda cheating.

Well, that number is just wrong. I'll tell you how they came up with it and you'll see why. The radiant power is also shown in the listing - around 17W. This number was then multiplied with the luminous efficiency of light at 550 nm to get 11500.

If you do it properly the result will be about 1/100th of that.

Tocket's right. Even if one could attain 100% efficiency, 160W of 405nm light would only be 70 lumens. 17W is only 7.5 lumens.

Which is actually more like 1/1500th as much

In the Netherlands all standard light bulb above 100W are already forbidden, and in 2010 ALL standard light bulb are forbidden.

The good thing about it is it had a massive impact on the pricing of LED lamps.

the pricing is now the same as a CF lamp, and thats about 10 euros for a 30W led equivalent (4W led bulb)

You pay 10 euros for a 4W CFL?

update: I just noticed 13W CFLs for sale at the local dollar store today. (noname brand, though)
