    Default UPDATE (really!)

So I just spoke with the property manager at the venue and he told me the 9th of October is a go, for now and possibly the 10th, if someone cancels, which is likely.

10th of October? This good? Should I begin walking the streets, rustling up laserists to come hang?

Ideally two days. I'm waiting on hearing about Saturday the 10th which is looking like it will work. So far we're good for Friday the 9th and I'm sure Thursday the 8th is open, if we were inclined.

Sunday is probably an option too, if that is the will of the people.

What other things do you all want to see happen with PaCoLEM? We could borrow some ideas from SELEM like a for-sale/bartering area and we could also have some presentations, if anyone is inclined to give them.

Do you think we should get a hold of coherent, they have there measurement facility is in Wilsonville so it isn't that far out of their way. I don't mind the idea of a for-sale/bartering thing. I am sure that if the ion lasers come out Laserman532 can school us, or yags or... I don't know if Gooeygus wants to give any presentations on tuning KTP's etc of smaller lasers. Maybe a discussion on live shows I know quite a few people there have been there and done that. So any of the California people heading up the coast for the event?

    For now my $0.02...

All the way from Southern California? I'm sure I could get some very decent audio locally, so save room for laser stuff and beer.

For reference if you want to drink good local beer and close lodging: http://www.mcmenamins.com/index.php?loc=57 it is just down the street has salt water soaking pools and a variety of bars... Then again there is also edgefield but that is a bit further but does have the distillery bar, one of my favorites.

    Default Minor update

I check and it turns out I have multiple options on sound, both of which will be able to provide plenty of decibels. Once I pick one, I'll update the main post with some specs or something.
