I'll try to , I didn't notice that the pictures were blurry since I was viewing them through my cam with a small screen.

Thanx Kiwi and Ben . I did test the frames strenght by standing and jumping on it (I weigh 80kg) and it didn't bend at all! Though I still wouldn't like to drop it when my lasers are in there

Did alot more work this weekend. I assembled the dual red setup and I must say, I did never expect the beam to be this tight!I dare to say the beam is tighter that my greenie from laserwave !

I know this pic doesn't really mean alot, but it does give an impression of how tight the red and violet beams are . So I was able to mount everything on the base plate yesterday evening and this is what it looks like: (wiring is quick'n dirty )

I had to enlarge 2 holes due to alignment issues and the red isn't mounted tangent to anything right now but it doesn't really matter since red points at a bounce mirror which works at any angle

So I played a few last night and I was stunned! OMG I did never expect that rgv would be sooooo f'ing beautifull! I just love those colours! It's nothing compared to RGB ofcourse, but it's damn close . My near field alignment is off by a mm or so but farfield aligment was a treat to tune, sooooo easy . I'm hooked!

The green is waaaay to powerfull compared to red and violet but I don't care since I can use it as an RGV projector (when I dim green) and as a G projector (with green on full).
Too bad the camera doesn't pick up all the beatiful colors

It does seem to be lacking a bit on the blue/cyan end, was that because of the camera? On the beam path close-up the violet modules seemed to be working just fine...

A taste of things to come for my own rig, which will probably be half the power of yours. I'm using a single 12x Bluray, a 50mW New Wish green and a 300mW red. I'll probably leave some room if I want to double up on the reds and the blues later. I'm really looking forward to making my own cyan and white beams

Did you weigh your case before you added everything? I'm just wondering how heavy it was before and then after all the gear

It is lacking a bit of violet but the camera makes it look alot worse than it is in real life. I'll try to make a video with another camera soon but I have exams this week so I won't be doing alot of lasering work this week.

But still the colors this thing can make are just awesome, I would really recommend blu-ray to anyone that is looking for a cheap "blu-ish" solution! It is possible to make a real blue color by adding a tiny bit of green!

The bare base plat weighs in at about 4 kilo's or so and I just weighed the assembled base plate and right now it weighs 7 kilo's so that is 3 kilo's of gear . The frame that the plate is going to sit in weighs 4 kilo's and the plating of the frame will be 4 kilo's. So the whole thing will weigh about 15 kilo's or so wich is manageable I think

fuck.... while mounting the plate in my chassis, the plate dropped for like 1 cm or so, but this killed both of my red diodes.... I don't understand because all my other diodes still work like a charm! wtf is going on

no seriously diodes die mysteriously so I don't even wonder anymore, I just accept it and move on

I gotta ask tho, why not put the green last? its going to be by far your brightest color so I figure thats the one that you would want going through the most optics, followed by the red and lastly the violet

My original plan was to put the green last. But then I found out that I don't have the right optics for this ... And I didn't want to spend any more optics again .

ah ya, it all adds up I know this all too well unfortunately! but honestly I think it would really be worth the extra $50 or whatnot to replace the dichro and move the green to the last position, your probably losing quite a bit of red through all those optics, and thats going to be by far your dimmest color after the violet...
