Am I too late for pictures?
This is an old (and dead) red from a Laserworld projector (big dipper 150 rgy)

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

It's slotted... so you can slide it perpendicularly to the beam...
Going up or down is a design consideration...
There is really no need to move the source forward or back... that's just pointless!

Height adjustment was not in that item's design, it is merely a holder, rotation and lateral adjustments were the only design criteria. Look how it is used in my beam combiners

I make everything at a fixed height to my specifications for my own equipment and modules mostly based around the UltraMount (.75" so that when mounted to a base plate of 1/4" beam height is 1" above surface...in EVERYTHING I DO...)

I expect everybody else to adapt to my system

anyway...whatever...you can invent the perfect thing and everybody wants to change it

    true. i spoke poorly...

however, i'd be very happy to find some little diode module mounts that would allow me to rotate on the x/y axis and lock into that position.

if you sketch it up, may be I will make some...if it is a good design

rotate about the x y axis is a difficult problem if you are not "pointing" about the center of the output because a translation of the beam would occur...if I understand you correctly.

I apologize, that was a mistype on my part.

I meant that it would be a design consideration when making the projector... not for the mount itself... So, if you want to elevate the beam or lower it, you can pad the bottom with aluminum sheets of the like. The 0.25" alum base plate works perfectly...
